How to deal with lifestyle changes?
What is one thing I know for sure?
Dealing with lifestyle changes is difficult. I know that prayer and meditation works. I can get pretty stressed out during certain challenging times in my life. My most stressful moments are when my mother died or that moment when your heart sinks and you cannot locate one of your children after an independent event or when you child is going to get a medical procedure or there is a big work deadline. Each and every time, I just go back to my breath!
What are some remedies for dealing with lifestyle changes?
Did you know that scientifically and emotionally, you mind relaxes with intentional directional breathing techniques. We call it “pranayama” breathing in yoga. I like to practice a mindfulness prayer using a biblical scripture that I love. Then, I practice a sound mantra with peace, harmony, laughter and love at the heart of mantra meditation. Furthermore, your awareness of what “changes” triggers emotional stress is critical to figuring out what to use in your mental fitness took kit. Some people need medication. Teens and kids will need therapy. Other stressors are addressed with a workout, walk, journaling, essential stress-relieving oils, breathing and yoga. Try each one to see which one works best for you.
