Hi Peeps,
It’s me, Dena! 😊 I know it’s been a minute since the last wellness blog post. But, you know we all experienced the ‘P’ word or the PANDEMIC! Hope each of you is not just surviving, but thriving now that most places reduced their pandemic restrictions and most people have gotten the vaccine. In addition, thank you to everyone who bought a mask…I really appreciate you from the bottom of my heart.
Did you know someone asked me, “how do I prevent my cellulite from 😫 taking over my legs?” After thinking about my friend’s question, my immediate response created a sense of curiosity. I really wanted to know why I have little cellulite but have stretch marks from the birth of my three babies. I began to ponder. Ummm. Mom didn’t have cellulite but she had stretch marks. La duh?! My cellulite situation is genetic. But, what about other people, my friends, who are genetically linked to appearance of cellulite. Let’s get the 411 on cellulite these days.
What is cellulite?
I asked several cosmetic experts: dermatologists and an experienced medical spa owner. Cellulite are pockets of fat cells under the surface of the skin. It creates a “cottage cheese” effect. The expert suggested three methods for addressing and breaking down unwanted small localized areas of fat, namely cellulite in this case.
Here are the top three non-invasive remedies for cellulite:
-
Diet & Nutrition
-
Mesotherapy
-
Body FX Laser Treatment
How to get rid of the appearance of cellulite?
Let’s unpack each one….
Diet and nutrition is an key element to restoring our healthy cells and reducing the size of our fat cells. Sugar feeds the fat cells. The goal in my Detoxelicious® book is to age gracefully, not to be skinny fat or anything like that. But, to be the best version of myself. So, what? Try your best to go sugar-free as much as possible. Replenish the body with superfoods rich with vitamins and nutrients including protein and fiber. I highly recommend the Orenda Shape Shakes that were given to me by renown medical doctor, Dr. Vesna Skul. Every highly selective superfood is included with intention. Basically, I go heavy on vegetables and fruits and commit to carb-free and sugar-free meals a few days a week. It’s a game-changer.To get the Shape Shakes (30), click here.
Mesotherapy is a good option to battle pesky cellulite too. Mesotherapy involves a simple series of injections which help breakdown undesirable fatty pockets. This is called lipolysis.
Areas most treatable with injection-base lipolysis include:
- Upper and lower abdomen
- Thighs
- Upper arms
- Fat bulges near bra line
- Love handles
- Saddlebags
- Double Chin
- Cellulite
The mesotherapy solution is injected directly into the layers of fact and connective tissue. The medication produces a chemical reaction in conjunction with body’s physiology to harden the fat cell wall and begin a breakdown of localized areas of fat. Several treatment, four to six weeks apart are often required to product a fully satisfactory result. The main ingredients used include phosphatidylcholine, multivitamins and saline. Phosphatidylcholine is a natural lecithin which contain two unsaturated fatty acids extracted from the soy plant.
Body FX Treatment is non-invasive body contouring technology that leave the affected area slimmer, smooth and tighter. There is no down time, no side effects, 68% reduction of the appearance of cellulite, 39% fat reduction when users have the full set of treatments.
